Mass indigenous protest jams Bogota

Colombia news - indigenous protest

Some estimated 20,000 demonstrators took to the streets in Bogota on Tuesday to demand respect for indigenous rights.

The Columbus Day demonstration was attended by indigenous rights groups and other social and student organizations.

The protest ended on the central Plaza Bolivar and caused major traffic jams throughout the city.
