Avianca flights from Colombia to New York have been rescheduled following chaotic weather in the northeast of the U.S., Caracol Radio reported Thursday.

The Colombian airline Avianca has announced that flights supposed to be carrying 800 passengers on November 7 and 8 have been rescheduled.

Flight 020, New York to Bogota, which was scheduled for departure at 10:55PM on Wednesday 7 November, will now leave on Thursday at 2:30AM.

Flight 021, New York-Bogotá, due to leave 7AM on Thursday, has been delayed by three hours.

Meanwhile, passengers booked on flight 244, Bogota – New York, and flight 245, New York – Bogota, will be reorganized onto other airlines.

Thousands of Colombian travellers have had their plans disrupted since Hurricane Sandy hit the U.S. east coast in late October.
